The Bushfires here in Victoria..
have deeply shocked and upset most of us living here.
Friends from all over the planet have phoned in and emailed
to make sure we're ok. And, ofcourse we are, living here in
urban Melbourne. But I haven't met anyone yet, who hasn't lost
someone, or knows someone who has, or knows someone
who has lost everything.
The grief as reflected in our smudgy skies, and whiff of burning
bush, here in the city, is consuming.
If only we could build an aquaduct from the flooding North
Queensland down to our tinderbox-dry south eastern states...
(it would probably be cheaper and more sustainable than
the proposed desalination plants!)

Testimonials
I have folders, emails, cards, gifts and even scraps of paper
brides and red carpet dwellers have sent to me...I feel so
lucky and blessed by some of the extraordinary things people
have said and done over the years. So now I've started the
huge task of gathering all these pieces, curating them (I had
to, or else the whole website would be taken up by them!)

Autumn/Winter 2009
Enter 2009!
I have started making pieces for Winter, an old habit,
or perhaps just tuning in to the Northern Hemisphere.
When talking to a friend about creativity, we agreed
that often there is no rhyme nor reason why we create
what we do. For example, I rarely wear jewellery myself.
And when I start thinking about winter the muse dances
in, wearing a veil of Gothic darkness and sensuality.
Then yesterday, I looked at the cat-walks and saw that
indeed there is that theme again.
We are all connected through the ethers...
And speaking of themes: stay tuned for more developments...
And meanwhile we have the hottest part of Summer to get through,
so stay cool, and check out some of the fine gold-ie pieces in
the following pages..
