Coco pearls III

This is the third version of my caricatures I make of Coco
Chanel's famous pearl necklace.

I have used excellent white, shiny Japanese
costume pearls, some of which are vintage (the new ones are
not a patch on the ones I had stashed away in a shoe box at the
back of my cupboard left over from the early nineties)
Some strands have tiny gold ceramic delica beads used as spaces.
A beautiful and fine detail.
The neckpiece drapes sensuously against the body, just
like Coco draped on her lounge when she would have a rare
break.

This particular one is a commissioned piece, but I can
make another one or two. They truly are fabulous, and
timeless. The first one I made over eight years ago.

You can wear them with jeans, your LBD (lil' black dress),
your school formal, wedding, ball gown or whatever
they always look fresh and amazing.
